RIDE Check on Mount Pleasant Road Nabs Drinking Driver

 

 

(County of Brant, ON.) – The Ontario Provincial Police, County of Brant Detachment officers were conducting a RIDE check on Mount Pleasant Road on the 29th of August 2010. At 1:00 A.M. officers stopped a 2001 Beige Nissan Pathfinder and while talking to the driver they could smell the odour of alcohol on his breath. The male driver of the vehicle was given the Roadside Screening test and as a result of the tests he was taken to the Branford City Police Service for Intoxilyzer tests. 

 

As a result of the Intoxilyzer tests Winston HALLS 38 years of age from the City of Brantford is facing the following criminal charge

 

Exceed 80 milligrams Blood Alcohol Content

 

HALLS is scheduled to attend Provincial Court in Brantford on 4th of October 2010 to answer to the charges.

Speeding Motorist

 

     The Ontario Provincial Police, a County of Brant officer was conducting radar patrol on Brant Oxford Roar on the 23rd of August 2010. At 11:15 A.M. The officer observed a vehicle travelling at an extremely high rate of speed. A Silver Kia was clocked at 143 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.

    

      The driver of the vehicle Khalid ELMI 20 years of age from the Kitchener was charged under the legislation for Stunt Driving and his vehicle was seized for 7 days and he received a 7-day license suspension.
